Club Notes 22 April 2013
Lotto numbers on Friday 19th April were 6, 14, 19 and 20. There was no jackpot winner, match three winners included Claire Coyle, Ryan Brady, Nancy Canavan and Cathal Forbes. New jackpot £3,000.
The minor league continued with a hard fought draw against Pomeroy, final score Ardboe 1-14 Pomeroy 2-11. The league continues on Wednesday 24th April away to Donaghmore. The U14 league continues this week with two games, the first away to Dungannon on Tuesday 23rd April and the second at home to Moortown on Saturday 27th. Please keep an eye on the club website, facebook and twitter pages for confirmation of fixture details.
The senior and reserve squad opened up their league campaigns with two victories away to Augher on score lines of Ardboe 2-9 Augher 0-11 in the senior game and Ardboe 2-7 Augher 0-8 in the reserve game.
Well done to the senior ladies who opened up their league campaign with a hard fought victory over Cappagh.
U6, U8 and U10 girls football training continues on Monday nights 6-7pm. All parents that are able to stay and give a hand are asked to do so. Any girls who have not registered yet can get a form at training.
U14 girls training continues on Thursdays 6.30-7.30pm
Club membership is now due and can be paid to any committee member. Membership fees for 2013 are £50 per adult, £10 per child or £25 per family of three or more children – all players must be fully paid up members otherwise insurance claims will not be processed. Club Rossa membership fee for 2013 is £150 and membership forms are available from any committee member or to download from the club website.
The main club fundraiser for 2013 will be a festival held from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th August. This will include appearances by Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter as well as a boxing tournament, all held in a purpose built marquee at the football pitch. A lot of work will be required to facilitate the weekend and anyone willing to help out in any manner, with its planning or over the weekend, is encouraged to contact any member of the football or event committee. Anyone interested in participating in the fight night is asked to contact any member of the organising committee, football committee or youth management, full training will be provided.
Forbes Spar are hosting their annual 10k run/5k walk on Sunday 26th May commencing at 9:30am and all proceeds are in aid of St Patrick’s Primary School Mullinahoe.
Circuit/Tabata Training and foam rolling with Mattie Brady will continue on Wednesday evenings in the club pavilion upstairs from 7-30 pm to 8.30 pm. £3 per session and any queries contact him on 07791406728.
