Chorra Chríochach 2-02

The U14s picked up where they left off last week with another strong victory over Cookstown at Michael Coney Park, running out winners on a scoreline of 7-17 to 2-02.

Played in blustery conditions throughout, Ardboe got of to a fine start with points from Barry Devlin and David Mulgrew before Nathan Bell scored the first of his two goals.  Cookstown fought back with a goal and a point of their own, but Ardboe dominated the rest of the half with further goals from Devlin, Mulgrew and Bell leaving the half time score at 5-09 to 1-01.

Ardboe rang the changes in the second half, but continued to play some attractive football and points were added by Caolan Mallaghan, Odhran Devlin and Michael Lynn.  With Ryan Sheeky and Gerard McVey performing impressively at midfield, Ardboe held out despite some Cookstown pressure to finish the game well.  A strong move by Kevin Coney and Aiden O'Neill finished with Kevin finishing the ball to the net to wrap up a well deserved win.
